Chapter Thirteen

Spike slows the bus long enough to let Angel on - he came to investigate if everyone was okay after seeing the fireball that was Robin's bus. They establish that it is the same kind of demon they had previously battled, and after a personal battle of their own and a chase along the roads of Sunnydale, Father Duncan kills the demon by hitting it with the fire truck, parking over it and then exploding the vehicle.

They arrive back at the house and introductions are made. Faith feels deflated after Robin has died, but Lorne cheers her on.

We see everyone is exhausted, and people find places to sleep...people to talk to. Spike finds Connor in Buffy's room and he says he could swear that Connor is Angel's son. Connor is disturbed by this, as Spike called him - back when they were seperated by the wall of flame - 'Brood Junior.' Spike claims he has no memory of this, and Connor prods him in the arm. He is solid - and both he and Spike realise it was actually the First back on the street.

Wes finds a group of people including Kennedy and Angel arguing about what their next move should be. Kennedy thinks they should go after Willow, but Wes says he thinks the next move should be obvious - they need to take back the school and the Seal while it's relatively undefended.
