Chapter Five

Buffy announces her anger towards the First, then reveals a plan to the others which amazes and stupifies them. Meanwhile, Angel is being tortured by the First, which takes the form of Darla. Ultimately, it kills a group of small children in an attempt to super charge the Seal, and some Bringers perform a spell on it that makes it retain it's power in order to open up and allow a much more powerful demon through instead of one Turok-Han.

Buffy reveals her plan to the Potentials, and Kennedy for once backs Buffy 100%. Suddenly, a massive trembling disturbs the Slayer's speech, and she prepares the troops for war.

Robin Wood, on the way to Buffy's house, encounters a huge wall of shadow and kills off a demon before remembering about the headlights on his car. He drives on through the unholy night.

While they prepare for the fight, Gunn, Wes, Fred and Lorne joke around in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere, but they end up inadvertently remembering about Connor - and Wes remembers of how he betrayed and was cut off by his closest friends. However, they decide to worry about it later, and they head off to battle.
