Chapter Four
Angel and Spike have a small talk in the basement, and actually seem to
make up a few of their misgivings; Angel because there's an Apocalypse going
down, Spike for Buffy's sake.
While they talk, Lorne is upstairs reading Potential's destinies, until he
comes across one who cannot escape death no matter what she may do. He lies
to her and then seeks soltitude to weep.
Buffy calls a meeting to say Wes and Giles have unearthed an ancient prophecy from the Wolfram and Hart file they brought from L.A. Angel scoffs at this, and soon he sparks a massive debate/argument concerning - at first - the validity of the prophecy, but soon all bets are off. Unable to control the crowd, Buffy seeks to expel Angel from the room and have it out with him in private, but discovers he is incorporeal - it is the First, and somehow it has captured Angel from underneath everyone's nose.
Right after their talk in the basment, Spike had told Angel Andrew was looking for him, so Angel seeks refuge in the basement while Spike goes on ahead. Suddenly a magical being appears and kidnaps him - now he is being bled over the Seal under Sunnydale High like Spike before him.
